GETTING THE BEST OF HARLEY WIGGLESTEIN

Hi, I’m Millie Stillman. I don’t usually go around telling everyone my business, but I can’t help it!I’ve had enough of Harley Wigglestein. My mom has been babysitting Harley since we were both toddlers and she has tortured me since day one.
I was thinking that, maybe, if I gave her a taste of her own medicine, I could get her to stop. I could never give her a sock in the arm as hard as the ones she gives me. I tried once and she thought a bug flew into her. I may not be strong, but I have brain power. I’m sure I can think up pranks as goos as hers. I mean, after all, how hard can it be?
I think I’ll talk to Angie about it on the bus tomorrow.
One thing for sure, if it’s the last thing I do, I’m getting the best of Harley Wigglestein.
Join in the fun, as Millie finds out just how hard it is to think like her nemesis. From bugs to lima beans, nothing is off limits in their all out prank war. Will Millie win the war? In the process, will she find a side to Harley she never imagined?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR…
A 5-star Readers Favorite middle-grade author, Cary Sowers, had two dreams when she was growing up, to be a singer in a band and to be an author.
Dreams can come true.
She got to do both!
When she wasn’t singing or writing, she was raising her five children with her husband. She also has three grandchildren Piper, Willow, and Ella.
Cary lives in the country near the small town she grew up in, with two of her sons, Miles and Robert, a dog named Jake, Cupcake, the cat, and a lot of pet fish.
ENDORSEMENTS
To Whom It May Concern (especially if you’re holding this book),
I teach 5th grade. I’ve seen prank wars, lunchroom drama, and friendships forged over who stole whose markers. But Getting the Best of Harley Wigglestein? It gets it exactly right.
Millie’s brain-powered battle with Harley had me cackling—and my students begging for “just one more chapter.” It’s sharp, funny, and surprisingly heartfelt. Bonus: it sneaks in empathy without your kids even noticing.
Add it to your shelf. Or risk your students revolting in the name of Harley.
Sincerely,
Mrs. J. Mairs

Dear Reader,
Okay, so I picked up Getting the Best of Harley Wigglestein thinking I’d totally be Team Millie. I mean, Harley’s kind of a menace. But then… I don’t know. She’s weirdly cool? And kind of hilarious?
Now I’m stuck. Team Millie or Team Harley? No clue. All I know is I couldn’t stop reading and now I kind of want to start a (friendly) prank war of my own.
Read it. Pick a side. But fair warning—you might end up liking both.
From,
