Rescuing Whiskey’s Salvation by Chrissy Hartmann is a heartfelt romance set around a Salvation Shelter in a small town in Texas called Whiskey… The author allows the characters to dictate the pace of the story in the most lively and wonderfully entertaining way. The reader is taken on a journey revolving around the fate of the shelter in the town. The reader will meet some of the most delightful characters that they will recognize as people who are similar or the same in principle in their own hometowns… holds the reader’s attention from the very first page to the very last and offers an ending that is unexpected at the same time… The reader will be sitting on the edge of their seat, hoping that the good people of Whiskey will save their shelter as the founding benefactor hoped they would. The ending is a surprise and will bring a wholehearted hurrah. I love a good romance but of late have felt they all seem to follow the same path and seem a bit stale. This author has breathed new life into the genre! Thank you for a delightful read.

‘Rescuing Whiskey’s Salvation’ is a fictional romance story about Evie Mae Stockton. The descriptive writing enables the reader to imagine and re-create the scenes in their mind. It is intriguing; the characters all stand-alone and mesh well together. I enjoyed reading how Evie attempted to separate herself from what was expected and wanted her own identity.
Meeting Griff Bryant definitely changes the dynamic of things. You see a different side of Evie, and the two induce way more than what you originally thought you were in for.
There are many twists and turns, drama, and unforeseen events, keeping the romance story suspenseful. The pace is steady and constantly provokes the reader’s interest.
I recommend this book to those who enjoy strong female lead protagonists and fiction romance readers.
